VITA Tax Help

Every year the U of U VITA Program provides free assistance to individuals and families with low-to-moderate income (generally $49,000 or lower) in preparing their individual tax returns.  Many of these result in refunds.  The majority of the volunteers at the U of U VITA Program are students seeking bachelors and masters degrees in accounting at the David Eccles School of Business. If you feel like you are someone who would like help this tax season, please come and visit the U of U VITA Program.

Free E-filing (Federal and State)!
Most returns only take 15-20 minutes!

When and Where

On Saturday April 10 we will be holding our First Annual Income Tax Procrastination Bash! We will prepare as many returns as we can from 12:15-6:00 PM in BuC 103. At 6:00 PM we'll stop preparing new returns in order to focus on reviewing those returns already prepared that day. We will only be helping walk-ins. We hope to see you then!

US Citizens: Starting February 8, 2010 – April 15, 2010:

If you receive Social Security or Supplemental Security Income, contact the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213 to find out if you received a one-time Economic Recovery Payment of $250 (per individual, so up to $500 per couple if married filing jointly). You MUST know this information before we can file your tax return.
